CD Projekt RED shared the first gameplay video of the fourth game in the Witcher series with the public in a presentation it held today. The new Witcher game, which was officially announced in 2024 and developed as a sequel to the series, was among the projects the gaming world was following with curiosity.
The Witcher 4 gameplay video shared
In the video introduced during the State of Unreal event, Ciri is seen to stand out as the main character of the game. The released gameplay sequence includes a scene where Ciri enters a small town by advancing through a snow-covered valley.
It was shared that the images were recorded directly on a standard PlayStation 5 and run at 60 FPS with the Ray Tracing feature turned on. Technical details indicate that the game can offer high-level visual quality on current-generation consoles.
Another striking element in the presentation was the open-world structure of the game. In addition to the visual density, the number and variety of NPCs in the game world were also emphasized. The aim is to go one step beyond the crowded and living world structure in The Witcher 3. The crowded town environment and interactive atmosphere in the gameplay footage revealed that the game offers an ambitious structure in this area.
CD Projekt RED has not made any official statements about the game’s release date. However, the demo shared today suggests that the project has reached an advanced stage in the development process and may be completed in a shorter time than expected.
